USDA Improvement Project

Our improvement, upgrade and Providence Community application with the USDA  is still ongoing. Due to the COVID-19 shut-down of government offices, it has slowed that progress. The offices are slowly opening up and our application in now under review by the USDA Canton office.

The Board of Directors voted to extend our improvement project to include the Providence Community.

BCWSC Improvement Project

The Brushy Creek Water Supply Corporation intends to file an application with the US Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Agency, for financial assistance to make improvements to their central water system in northern Anderson County, Texas and southern Henderson County, Texas. A public meeting will be held at the Brushy Creek water office located at 249 An Co Rd 432 in Montalba on April 26, 2019 at 5:30 PM. The improvement project will consist of three deep wells, water plant improvements and distribution system improvements, to bring the system in compliance with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality regulations. The estimated cost of the improvemnts is $3,989,999.00.
